Anastasia Contour Kit Review, Photos & Swatch

SORRY TO BE THE ONE TO BREAK YOUR BUBBLES but let’s get real, The long holiday was over and we’re all back to our regular routines. I had a well deserved rest and the holidays were a blast. Well, except I caught a cold on New Year’s day I blame the crazy weather. Hot, cold, hot cold makes my body system goes haywire. I’ll stop ranting and get to the point quickly:

Let’s talk high end products for a minute. My new acquired possession for the New Year. Yes, yes! ANASTASIA Beverly Hills. I’ve seen youtuber Desi Perkins uses ABH contour kit on her makeup tutorials and I love how easy to do a face contour with these products. Desi is one of my favorite beauty¬†guru and I’m happy to be able to share her¬†youtube video in this post. Watch¬†how she shows you about contouring, ENJOY!

I ordered Anastasia Contour it in Light to Medium for CAD$52.00 at Sephora, I believe you can also find this it at Ulta and Nordstrom or at ABH online website for US$40.00. Available in three different shades. Light to Medium, Medium to Tan and Tan to Deep. Shades catered for all skin tones. Yipee!

I think the packaging is great for travel, its sleek, it stays closed…and overall the product is absolutely amazing.

A sleek, palette with six shades: top row – three for highlighting and bottom row – three for contouring.

I love this product! At first I was kinda hesitant to buy this due to the price but I’m in love with the pigmentation. I find that the product really sticks to your brush so you don’t have to keep grabbing more product. The texture is super smooth and blendable. Really great!

This is a super good product. I use Fawn for contouring and Sand or Banana for highlighting. I like Fawn because I find the other two have more of an orangey tint to them that shows up too harshly on me. I usually use Sand as a highlighter across my cheekbones because of the shimmer, and Banana on other areas I want to highlight which is more of a yellow. I use Vanilla occasionally as well for my inner corners.

The other darker shades I use more as a bronzer or eyeshadow. All in all it’s a pretty good contour kit and gets the job done. I use it everyday and it’s a staple in my makeup bag. It’s a little pricey but I definitely think it’s worth it.

This set contains:
– 6 x 0.11 oz Vanilla, Banana, Sand
– 6 x 0.11 oz Java, Fawn, Havana

The colors in this kit are absolutely perfect for me and move well through the seasons. It makes me look more vibrant, it looks natural, and the colors work for not only contouring my face, but I use a smaller brush and contour my nose. Love how the powders go on super smooth.¬†I finally found¬†my HOLY GRAIL for contouring!¬†I LOVE this kit! ‚̧

anastasia contour kit

I like that it comes with a highlighter, had individual shades that can be replaced as needed and I felt that these colors could be blended better.¬†Easy to use 6 different shade is great for the price, if you asked me! Don’t take my word for it, YOU must try it! y FREE.¬†

Top row: Highlighters     Bottom row: Bronzers

This is the best contour kit HANDS DOWN! You will not be disappointed.

Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in trying contouring a chance,¬†especially for beginners. And in my opinion, it’s a must have for all you makeup junkie!

What do you think of this contour kit? Have you tried it and if yes, don’t forget to leave your comments.

Thanks so much¬†for taking the time to read and hope to see you again on the next one ūüôā

Hey friends!

Today, I’m just going to share with you some of my March Wish List for Spring.I know that I’m a bit late for a Wish List but I’ve been caught up with many things and still in the process of recovering from my surgery. This is going¬†to be a short Wish List for now.

1) Clinique Foundation & Concealer

I’ve been loving Clinique cosmetics since I started earning my first paid job. So, Clinique skin care, fragrance and makeup are one of the high end makeup brand that I trust and love collecting. I’m excited to see a hybrid mix of foundation and concealer from Clinique. Available at Sephora, online and in-store. There are¬†20 beautiful shades from light to dark skin tones for $27.00 a bottle.¬†This product is allergy tested, and 100 percent fragrance free. How cool is that!

Clinique claims that it is a moisturizing foundation and the concealer provides full coverage without clogging pores. It’s also lightweight and has a 12-hour lasting wear. The real punch is that it’s catered for dry to combination oily skin type. I’m a ¬†dry skin type and this foundation and concealer sounds perfect for me.

2) Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel for $38.00 a jar.

Being a¬†dry skin type isn’t really fun but after reading the ingredients and claims from Shiseido on its multi solution gel my trouble will be far away. This jar of solution is going to help bounce back beauty emergencies. It acts to minimise breakouts, acnes and dryness. Ultimately to leaves a¬†smoother and more beautiful skin appearance. Yay!!! I’m SOLD!

This palette contains instructions that will guide you on how to contour and all the shades you see on the palette to redefine the look on your face. Cool isn’t it!
