Maybelline The Nudes And The Blushed Nudes

Maybelline eyeshadow palettes

By now, you guys might have guessed that I love talking and sharing my views and opinion on eyeshadow palettes. I’m obsessed and I’m not ashamed to admit it. But don’t get me wrong, I love everything about beauty and makeup but this is my most talked subject in my post for now. Eventually, I’ll be touching on other interesting and cool topics as the season changes. If you are an eyeshadow junkies like me, then you might want to continue reading …

Maybelline Eyeshadow Palettes

Let’s get¬†started:- lots of pictures below

Here are the two contenders. The top is The Nudes and the bottom The Blushed Nudes Palettes both by Maybelline. Palettes are available at any drugstores and online. Don’t forget to check them out if you’re on a budget spending. Prices below $15.00 depending on the drugstores and locations in the¬†area.

The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette by Maybelline is a warm neutral nude eyeshadows. There are 12 shadows with six mattes and six shimmery finish. I did a full review awhile ago and here is the link if you like to read more about it.

Inside this palette holds all the shadows from light to mid tones and dark. Very versatile and I just love the colors in this palette. This palette is for every color tones. Perfect for everyday wear for a natural looking appearance or you can easily spice it up to a smokey and intense evening wear. Both looks are a delight to my eyes.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette

I’m excited so I can’t help but to do a color swatch again for your eyes only. Directly taken from the pan and swiped on my bare hands (no primer). The colors¬†stay true and no creasing detected.

Another palette from Maybelline is the Blushed Nudes that was added to its new collection. This palette has more rosy pink undertone and some pretty shades on the bottom palette. If you love pink shadows and are pale skin, I believe this palette would work beautifully. The shades that can translate on my light to medium skin are the darker shades.

This palette has nice pigmentation and smooth texture. The textures on both palettes are similar. They’re smooth with no creasing at all. To read more about the full review, hit here for recent throwback.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes

Keep your eyes peeled for this color swatches. Applied on bare hands without eye primer, The top row looks invisible on¬†my skin tone except the last shadow on the right and the rest are blendable and pretty easy to work with. I wasn’t that impressed with¬†the lighter shadows. This palette has four matte shadows only compared to the Nudes palette which has six mattes.

Let me close by saying, I am no artist. I am also not a professional beauty guru. And I will not be on the next season of the Reality TV Beauty Competition, lol. This is just how I wear my eye makeup that I’ve been so obsessed with. If you’re beginners then I hope this post would help to inspires you.

the Blushed Nudes

I always have fun working on makeup and wearing lovely¬†eyeshadows and today, I’m sharing these eye makeup looks using¬†Maybelline The Nudes and The Blushed Nudes shadows.¬†I would repurchase the Nudes¬†palette in a heartbeat if I needed to (I obviously don’t and have enough eyeshadow to last a hundred lifetimes). But¬†¬†some of those shades are just beautiful. For the price and quality, I say GO for it. The Nudes or The Blushed Nudes, the choice is yours!

Let me know if you try this out! Or if you have another way of doing your eye makeup look!!!

For the eyes, I always prime my eyelids with Behind The Scenes Eye Primer but you use your Holy Grail or favorite eye primer of your choice. To create this sultry eye look I used the Lorac PRO Palette.

Lorac pro

I start by using Nude from lash line to brow bone then with Garnet on the lid and outer corner. Next in order to define the eyes I then go with Black in the outer corner and on the crease. Smoothen the rough edges and blend it well.

For a more dramatic effect you can try the shadows wet. To line and define, use¬†a liquid liner¬†in¬†Black¬†along the top and bottom lash line. Finish with your favorite babydoll lashes or any falsies you feel comfortable on. But¬†in my case, I’m wearing the Elf Black Lashes¬†and curl it with a little mascara to stick my lashes to the falsies.

So, there you have it, my version of this inspired eye makeup which I believe you can create it too.

What would be your most loved inspired look you have created for fall? Don’t forget to leave your comments below.

Meet Matt(e) by theBalm |Review & Swatches

Hi everyone!

Sorry that it took longer than I planned to put this post up, and there’s no good reason for that. Anyways, I’m ready to share my thoughts and opinion on this Meet Matt(e) Eyeshadow Palette by theBalm which I received as a gift from my honey bear on¬†mother’s day. This palette is a limited edition and can only be purchased online at Amazon.

meet matt by thebalm

I’m delighted to get this eyeshadow palette. I love matte shadows and I’m like head over heels on this one. Okay, I didn’t get to Meet Matt(e) Nude, perhaps my honey bear has something on his¬†mind,¬†I seriously don’t know,¬†but I’ll check later.

Okay back to my all time favorite eyeshadow brand, theBalm!!! Oh, I love the soft, creamy and buttery texture on this palette.¬†It’s so smooth and boy it blends so well. You really have to try this to find out yourself but I’ll give you the gist of what I find interesting from this palette.

The palette comes in a sturdy cardboard packaging like all of theBalm eyeshadow palettes.Inside are 9 beautiful shadows from light to dark toned shades.

color shadows

All the shadows are matte finish and¬†the pigmentation are gorgeous. It blends so amazingly well and they stay all day. I’m wearing Matt Batali for today’s look.

In my opinion, this palette has a¬†great potential to create many different look that can really whoa others. It all depends on your imagination and creativity to play around with these beautiful mattes. Usually, it’s very hard to find¬†a matte eyeshadow¬†from¬†a drugstore, not to mention a whole matte palette. If you’re a matte eyeshadow person like me, then this palette is something you might want to¬†get hold of.

color swaches 9 shades

Color swatches from L-R: Matt Smith (cream), Matt Mcdonald(ashy grey), Matt Batali (aubergine eggplant), Matt Gallagher (brown), Matt Horowitz (royal blue), Matt Schilling (teal green), Matt Ramirez (dark brown espresso), Matt Chung (soft pink) and lastly Matt Patel (taupe).

These shadows are as mate as you can get. My favorite shades are Matt Batali (aubergine eggplant), Matt Gallagher (brown) and Matt Ramirez (dark brown espresso). I notice that Matt Smith and Matte Gallagher and Matt Patel seems to camouflage into my skin tone but these shadows can be layered without fallout.

I used the lighter shade (Matt Smith) on the bare lids and then proceed to use Matt Batali on the crease. Then, I continue with Matt Ramirez on the outer corner and finished up with Matt Chung as the highlighter. I also used Matt Batali on the bottom lashline. White eyeliner for the inner corner. I used Essence liquid eyeliner to draw a winged eye. For this look, I didn’t put on any¬†mascara¬†since the focus is upon the matte eyeshadows.

Overall, I love this matte palette and I think this¬†would be a great option for people who want to try a matte eyeshadow palette.¬†I love it! And I highly recommend this to anyone. ¬†You can still¬†order this on¬†Amazon online and I believed this is a¬†limited edition. The price is on a high point but given the quality and beautiful pigmentation and color tones in this palette in my opinion it’s worth every penny.¬†It’s a beautiful matte palette for everyday wear.

On an unrelated note- I’m developing an obsession with matte¬†makeup products¬†as well. Look for more of my upcoming matte makeup products¬†in the near future! ūüôā
