Concealer has got to be the best thing at covering up flaws and imperfections on your skin, and MAC’s Studio Finish Concealer is hands down my new Holy Grail concealer! I got this from my daughter for my belated birthday gift after she came back from South East Asia.
This concealer is water resistant and fragrance free. The shade is in NW15 with SPF35. I have been trying on this bad boy for more than a week and I’m loving it.
The packaging reminds me of a lip gloss pot. Also as it’s so small you can take it with you if you go out to touch up during the day. Now while I’m on the subject, I don’t actually feel the need to touch up at all as it has very good staying power. So, yay!!!
I love this concealer on first sight! The texture is really creamy and opaque, great for covering blemishes or redness and effectively covers dark circles. You can also use it to brighten your under eye area after a full eye makeup.
The formula is lightweight and the result is impressive. This concealer is so concentrated that a little goes a long way and it gives a nice full coverage without looking cakey. I find that the best method to apply this concealer is by lightly tapping it with your ring finger instead of brush. If you’re used to applying with brush then by all means continue with whichever you feel comfortable. I find that with finger this concealer glides on flawlessly because your body heat warms the product up. This makes it super easy to blend onto dark spots and especially onto under eyes.
I would definitely recommend this concealer as it easily blends and covers and will last for a long time. Do not be put off by the price. This is worth the investment.
What is your Holy Grail concealer? I’d love to hear your comments on the section below.

For all my beauty friends who knows that recently, I have been packing in some great makeup products from MAC in my vanity and today is of no exception. I picked this MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NC20 a few days ago. Net wt: 0.30 fl oz
Admittedly , due to my back pain I have not been able to sleep nearly as well as I used to which is good news for testing out this new concealer given that the dark circle under my eyes are getting more prevalent than they normally are.
The packaging is so so only for a high end product. The downside of this Pro Longwear concealer is its pump applicator. It’s quite frustrating to try to dispense the formula from the plastic bottle. I think MAC should improve on their pump applicator since I believe many will encounter the same problem as me.
The consistency of this concealer is amazing. It is not too thick even though it feels creamy when I dispensed out from the pump applicator. With this amount it was able to cover both eyes beautifully. It has a slight hint of sweet scents but nothing too overwhelming. Sorry! I’m not very good at describing scents 😦
NC20 shade fits my skin tone nicely and I don’t feel as if I’m wearing an eye mask. With just one pump, I can sheer it out into an all over eyes coverage. A little goes a long way!
Before and After
Let’s put this concealer to the test. You can see the before and after images above. I only apply on the dark circles under my eyes using my finger tips. This liquid concealer blends nicely on my skin and evens out quickly. It lasted me for a good eight hours without creasing or budging which is a great deal for many of us. This concealer manages to conceal most of my dark circles which has gain a plus sign from me.
Overall, I think this concealer is a winner in my book and will definitely repurchase again once I ran out. I love how the formula blends and the natural effect this concealer gives let’s not forget how long lasting.
What do you think of this MAC concealer? Have you tried them before. If yes, in which shade did you picked?
Thank you for taking the time reading.
