This is my first SUGAR BOX Eyeshadow Palette (US$7.99)from ebay, and I’ll admit I was a bit skeptic at first. But there was a week when I found myself always reaching out for this palette when I’m doing my makeup. I got this for the holiday and I’m totally in love with this palette.
Let’s jump right in, shall we!
The eyeshadow palette I got is in Natural Eye Makeup #03. Here’s a summary of this product:
Contain 10 pretty color shadows for different neutral look
In this palette there are four matte and six shimmering jewel finish shadows
Packed with nice versatile shade selection.
These are warm undertones shades that looks pretty amazing on the palette
Nicely pigmented color with smooth & silk texture ❤
Love the packaging
Would be great if they name their palettes instead of by # numbers. Less confusing
Some shadows I noticed to be a bit tardy on fall out
Let me elaborate more of this product.
I was so excited! I did the color swatch upon opening the package. Here’s the color swatch on bare arm (meaning with eye primer or base). Guys, what you see is what you get. These shadows stay true to its colors.
As far as the packaging goes, the size of the palette is small and sleek enough for travel and has a good size mirror with a decent duo eyeshadow brush which you could actually use if you want to.
The pigmentation on these eyeshadows are quite impressive for the price. They’re not the best but it does give you a good color payoff with a good primer or base on. I also noticed that they’re long wearing and doesn’t budge.
The matte formula are unbelievably buttery and smooth. For the price, I consider this eyeshadow palette to be a pretty good buy. It has what you need and it does the job right. I will repurchase this again. I’m in love with the smooth texture and the neutral shades are just amazing.
Overall Rating: 4 out 5

I found this L’oreal Glossy Balm in my purse and I remembered that I haven’t posted my review on this lovely balm yet since my mini beauty haul awhile ago. I’ve been wearing this glossy balm since it’s in my purse and so far I’m enjoying it 🙂
L’oreal Glossy Balm in 250 Baby Berry is available in drugstores, Target, Walmart, Ulta and L’oreal online store for $7.99. It comes in eight delightful shades that make you want to grab a few more.
This crayon type balm and gloss combination format is so easy to apply. I glides very easily and smoothly leaving lips feeling moist and uplifting.
Glossy balm doesn’t feel sticky or heavy and I love the shade I picked. There are also a kissable range of shades which are brighter to choose. This glossy balm is not very long lasting but as expected from lip balms they don’t usually stay for a long wear. But I’ve been wearing it for everyday quick use.
Color swatch of Baby Berry which is creamy, moisturizing with amazing pigmentation. The only thing I would wish is that L’oreal comes with more shades for this crayon collection line. Anyways, so far I’m happy with my purchase and will definitely repurchase. It’s inexpensive and with a good quality that will leaves many of you happy.
Have you heard of DuWop beauty products, lovelies? This is a drugstore products which I found out just recently. I’m surprised with my new find and thrilled to see how it fairs. This bag was retailed for $40.00 which was on a pretty steep side for a drugstore brand in my opinion. But lucky for me, I got them with my drugstore points savings and it costs a little cheaper. Anyways, I’m just going to find out why it costs so much from the beginning.
DuWop bag comes in a soft PU leather material. A very nice icon of DuWop imprinted on the material. Inside the bag are an eyecatcher pencil and a Crush eyeshadow pot. The packaging of each product looks simple but elegant much of a high-end brand to me.
DuWop Eyecatcher pencil in the Blackest velvety black for all eyes color.Net wt: 3.0g selling for $18.50.
It comes in four different shades for blue, green and brown eyes. The one I picked up is the blackest velvety black. This formula is completely smudge free and is water resistant. I’ve tried it and love how easy it go as I draw it on my waterline. Perfect for normal liner look and for winged eye design.
Crush in Velvet shades. Selling for $24.00 with net wt: 7.6g
This is a lovely shade of trio metallic talc-free shadow that makes my heart skip a beat. The formula is dense enough to use it as a liner. It compliment any skin tone beautifully. What I love about this shadow is the rich pigment and intense payoff. It’s creamy and glide effortlessly upon application.
Color swatches of Red/Green/Brown
This is my first love with DuWop product and I know for sure that I will definitely check out more when I’m at a drugstore or their online store. They ship to the States and Canada.

As I unbagged my Ipsy bag a week ago, I was very excited to try this lip balm out immediately. So, here is what I got from my bag.
NYX Butter Lip Balm in Ladyfingers with a net wt: 0.14 oz. It costs $4.00 and you can find it at Target and some local drugstore Ulta and NYX online store. This NYX lip balm I got it as a sample from my December Ipsy bag.
Swatch Bare Lips
Color swatch is of plum-velvet shade and it has an amazing scents. It glides easily without feeling gunky or sticky. This lip balm is moisturizing and it lasted me for more than 3 hours. I’m happy with NYX lip butter and simply love this color. I heard from other bloggers who also subscribed to ipsy bag and they received the nude macaron shade and red velvet.
Love the consistency of the texture and it helps moisturize my lips very efficiently and on top of that I also got some pretty color shade on it. Overall, I’m satisfied with this NYX sample I got from ipsy bag. If you like to join ipsy bag monthly subscriptions, please check on the link here. For $10.00 a month with free shipping within USA.
I would say that so far I’m satisfied with this month’s ipsy bag.
What’s in your ipsy bag and what color lip balm you get?
It’s Saturday morning and it’s raining outside. I wanted to share this post with you. Yesterday, as I stepped out from my house, there were autumn leaves everywhere on the ground. The color of golden and amber leaves baking under the soft bright sun. I felt inspired to do a review on this lovely “I dream of St Lucia” eyeshadow palette by NYX. I saw three colors of fall from this palette and I quicky started to use them for my autumn makeup look. I posted my beauty haul yesterday and feel free to check it out.
NYX brand is available at Target and also at some local Canadian drugstores. I picked up mine at a drugstore.

“I Dream of St Lucia” 5 color eyeshadow palette
These are the color swatch from the palette. Such gorgeous pigmented eyeshadows. I really love the orange one best out of the other 4. So, that is why I’m doing the amber eye look. The formula is soft and smooth and it blends so well. I noticed that the pink and yellow ones need more blending since the shades are a little bit lighter. Otherwise, the colors are all gorgeous and wearable.
For this amber eyemakeup look, I just apply the eye primer and then I go ahead to blend the orange color shadow and the yellow as highlighter. I love the consistency of these shadows.
I used the Prestige eyeliner in Granite color to outline just top of my lids. I also dap a bit of the yellow eyeshadow to the centre of my eye lids (shown on the left) to make my eyes look more popped.
I’m impressed that for such an easy and simple steps, this color palette can gives such beautiful and vibrant color to the eyes. I will be playing more with these amazing colors since all 5 colors seems to work well together.
I have several eyeshadow palettes and this is one of my go-to palette of all time. The value can’t be beat. Well, the packaging is simple and it’s hand travel friendly. I’m very happy with my purchased and I will definitely go to pick up one more as backups. I do want to try the “I Dream of St Marteen” in a more neutral shades for everyday look.

This is one of my latest Maybelline foundation and I have been loving it so far. I like the consistency of the texture and it smells real amazing. It has sheer to medium coverage and it blends so well. I have no problem blending it and just love the soft and smooth feeling on my skin. It provides a very natural looking coverage. Once the foundation sets, I would say that it gives a semi-matte finishing or dewy finish which by the way not oily. If you have combination oily skin, then using it with Maybelline Fit Me Powder will do the trick of covering the dewy finish to matte finish.
The color swatch in 315 Soft Honey seems a little bit orange-y tone. I was shocked at first glance when I did the color swatch but once I tried it, I just love it. One warning is that this foundation tends to changed color once it’s on your skin – due to oxidation. On my buffing brush the shade is similar as the color swatch above and it blended out amazingly. This foundation sets quite quickly. Therefore, I have to say, my vote of satisfaction for this product is absolute. There are many different color shades to choose and make sure to spend some time to test the shades before getting them.
The other side of the coin is that it claims to have SPF 18, but the sunscreen doesn’t seems to have an adequate UVA protection for the skin. Losing some of the important ingredients of making the sunscreen better. Note: Shades # 330, 340, and 360 do NOT have sunscreen.
I like the glass bottle packaging but I would prefer that the top bottle opening has a pump applicator. I’m clumsy at times and tend to drop my makeup or accidentally pour out too much liquid especially when I’m in a hurry. But other than the lower SPF, I’m finding true love with Maybelline Fit Foundation.
My 2 cents of this foundation is that it has excellent quality and great value for money. I might say that i’s quite close to the Makeup Forever dupe foundation. I will definitely repurchase. Love it!
I would love to know what color shades will you get?
I’m back with my first impression review on this Trio Eyeshadow in West Vintage by NYC. I have to admit that I bought this because it’s costs me very little and I just wanted to try it out especially on these lovely vintage-gy beauties. I paid about less than $3.00 for this Trio eyeshadow at Target. I love vintage or antique thingy.
NYC Trio Eye Shadow in 789 on West Vintage. Nett Wt: 0.15oz
I have to visionized what my eye makeup looks will be since I can’t make a color swatch at Target. I did the color swatches only after I got them. I like the vintage colors on this palette and the swatches I would say is average.
It’s average pigmented but the color fall out pretty fast. It’s matte finish and a little powdery texture. It allows color built-up without making eyes looked creased. The colors are very light and I applied three layers to get the color that I wanted. Very low color payoff. I didn’t use eye primer for this makeup look. Just using the trio on the palette for my eye lids, crease and highlighter.
I wish that NYC would have come up with a much better eyeshadows considering that there were so many competitions out there. Well, I don’t think I will get this Trio eyeshadow again but I will finish using it.This is just my experience with this eyeshadow and it’s too matte finish for me. But my bet is that it might work for others depending on your skin type.
Have you tried any of the NYC products before that disappoints?
