Hey guys! Today, I’ll be reviewing this product which I purchased at Walmart. I did a Walmart beauty haul previously. I’ll have a link here if you care to check it out. I got request to do this review and so let’s jump right in.
This is a specific post to makeup blending sponge. I finally got my hands on this little cute sponge by ELF Cosmetics.
Here’s what Elf claim on their website “Flawlessly applies makeup for professionally even and smooth-looking skin. Great for creating a full coverage base, contouring or layering color. This durable sponge is washable and reusable, and perfect for use with all formulations including creams, liquids, and powder foundations, concealers or blush.”
Let’s get into the review:
This is how it looks like. It’s definitely has an odd shape compared to other brands. I don’t particularly love or hate this shape. In contrast to the teardrop shape of the beauty blender, the e.l.f. sponge has a pinched middle to grip which some people might like.
I’ve to squeeze harder to immerse the e.l.f. sponge in water or squeeze water out.
The maximum I can squeeze out of this blending sponge.
After soaking it turns out to be so much bigger in size. You see it can’t fit into the packaging anymore. It grew! I notice that it’s a little dense and feels much harder than the beauty blender when it’s dry, if that make sense.
So, I’ll be showing you the foundation and concealer application with my favorite! I like that it’s much easier to grip with this blender than the other that I’ve tried. It doesn’t bounce as much which I don’t particularly hate as long as it applies well.
I’m trying out my Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundationagain today. I’ve been reaching for it ever since I got it. I’m excited to be trying out this ELF Blending Sponge for this review. Yayyy!!!
I can’t stand when sponges soak up a ton of product and shape is secondary for me. What I’m saying is that I really like this blending sponge. I’m quite impressed that it blends so well.
I feel that it blended out great as it should. I really feel that it really works well putting on my foundation. You can tell, it works very good.
Overall, it’s really a good price tag for beginners but it’s not my favorite favorite. You know what I mean. Well, there’s a lot of other makeup blenders out there which are much better but for this price tag, I say give it a try if you’re on a budget spend.
So, I hope you’d enjoyed this post and subscribe to my blog if you haven’t already. I post three times a week.
Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you guys on the next one. Bye for now!
Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! I’m so excited to bring you this review!
First let’s get the deets out of the way.
Wet N Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette is one of those gems where you can get two palettes for CAD$15.00, which in my opinion is an insanely steal!
These 10-pan palettes are priced at a low CAD$7.97 each and available at Walmartexclusively. The two shades are called Nude Awakening and Bare Necessities. For me, Nude Awakening is definitely the best looking of the two as it has that really rich brown and burgundy shade.
Both palettes feature an assortment of matte, shimmers, satin and sparkle shades. I think it’s fantastic that they included so many mattes, as most of their palettes tend to go the sparkler route.
The two palettes that I picked up are: Nude Awakening (top) and Bare Necessities (bottom)
I like the presentation, it’s sleek and small, Wet n Wild always keeps it very simple. Size wise these palettes are pretty travel friendly. You can easily fit one into your to-go makeup bag. Convenient isn’t it!
As usual Wet n Wild knocks it out of the park with their highly pigmented formula. Very nice color selections in this palette.
This palette features 5 matte shades and 5 shimmer and satin, which is a great combo and should please everyone. There is a very nice matte black that gorgeous burgundy/berry shade and those two darker browns. The tau[e/rosy matte shade is beautiful and the shimmer shade all swatched very smoothly and aren’t all glittery. The 5th shade was a little chunky but it’s also one of the prettiest shades in the palette. Overall, I’m quite impressed with the quality and especially for the price. I don’t have anything bad to say about this palette frankly.
Here are the color shadows breakdown from left to right:
1-A matte cream
2-A pink champagne glitter
3-A rose gold shimmer
4-A bronzey pink shimmer
5-A mauvey pink shimmer
6-A matte rosy brown
7-A matte burgundy
8-A satin brown red with micro glitter
9-A matte chocolate brown
10-A matte black
It also comes with a double ended sponge tip applicator. I don’t use their applicator for blending eyeshadows but if you’re travelling and need to have a last minute touch-up, this would come in handy.
Keep your eyes peeled, here’s the color swatches for your eyes to feast!
I wore the Wet N Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow from the Nude Awakening palette for the past last week and it definitely delivers a beautiful look. I found the shades to be pigmented, easy to blend and they stayed on all day. I didn’t wear any eyeshadow primer and the staying power lasted for about 6 hours until I took it off in the evening and overall I was very happy with the look I got. I’ve to say that I’m really impressed!
Check out on my instagram for photo of the #EOTD I did last week, if you’re curious to see how I get this look. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for daily photo uploads.
The shimmers in this Bare Necessities palette are very nice too, I only had a problem with the last shade (the glittery black) which has large chunks of glitter and not a lot of pigment. But the gray and brown shades next to that are both really nice. I’m also really digging that 5th shade down a lot.
This palette is the more neutral of the two. It contains more golds and taupes than it’s rosier sister. This palette only contains 2 mattes. The rest are shimmers and satins.
The shades on this palette is amazing as well. You get more shimmery shadows in this one compared to the first palette mentioned above. The color swatches on my bare hand is so pretty but I find the blending needs more effort. I also experience a little fallout from the gold color eyeshadow which is not a big deal for me. I just use a Q-tip to clean it up at the end. Easy peasy!
Here are the color shadows breakdown from left to right:
1-A satin white champagne
2-A light rose gold shimmer
3-A true gold shimmer
4-A bronzey gold shimmer
5-A bronze shimmer
6-A pinkish taupe shimmer
7-A cool time matte gray brown
8-A cool tone matte brown
9- A steal blue shimmer
10-A matte black with silver micro glitter
Get the look:
I’m a huge Wet n Wildfan and I was so excited to get my hands on these. I own a lot of higher end palettes and sure, these drugstore ones will never compare in quality, but I’ve such a love for affordable and accessible makeup.
My favorite of the two is Nude Awakening and I highly recommend it but if you’re a eyeshadow palette collector like myself then I would suggest getting both so you can really have a more varied selection of shades for more looks. At this low price, why the heck not?
Now, what are you waiting for! Run to your nearest Walmart now and grab it before they’re all gone!
Thank you for reading my review! I hope it helped! If you’d like to see more reviews, please feel free to follow me and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me!
Hey guys! So today we’re going to do a new drugstore foundation which is new to me. And it’s this Milani Conceal & Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation. I’ve seen many people talked about it and thought to jump on the bandwagon and try it myself. I got this at one of the Walmart in my area after a long wait and searching I finally got my hands on this.
This one has a neutral undertone and not super yellow, I’m NC25 so it works out well. But on first dab with my beauty blender, I tell you guurrl, this color match is on point. If you like a pump applicator, you got a pump for a drugstore foundation. How cool is that! They don’t have a lot of shades honestly, I think they’ve only 8 shades.
On the back it says medium coverage, lightweight, oil free formula, long lasting and water resistant and sweat proof. So if you’ve plans after work to do your workout or head to the gym. You’re pretty much covered.
If you like a pump applicator, they got you covered! It has a thick consistency and not like those liquid foundation. It feels like a thick liquid cream. It blends really well with no streak and smells really good. It has a refreshing scents to it. This foundation feels a little sticky and thick in formula. A little doesn’t goes a long way though.
It’s a good shade and not too orange I feel. Just to point out there that I do have dry to combination skin and yet I can still feel the tackiness before the foundation sets. And I also sets it with my setting City Color HDpowder. It gives a semi-matte finish which I really like.
But as far as the coverage goes, it’s amazing! I think it did a great job in covering the redness around my nose areas and skin imperfection.
A couple hours later, I cooked and went to pick up my son from school. I feel it actually looks good. It doesn’t look bad at all. As far the color to me, the color stays the same. It’s not the perfect match but it didn’t seems to oxidize a lot. It feels really good honestly. It’s going pretty well and I’m happy. Another thing I forgot to mention earlier is that Milani is a cruelty free makeup brand, in case you’re wondering.
Back for my final update. I had this foundation on at 11am and now it’s 8pm and I believe it’s about 9 hours. For 9 hours I think it held up well. My pores are still like very covered which is very nice. The foundation is still on. Overall, I find the claims to be true. I don’t sweat a lot since it snows and I don’t hit the gym either. But with all the coverage and long wear as far as that goes. I like it as far as the price goes. It doesn’t feel super heavy and doesn’t need primer for it. The pores and fine lines looks good.
I don’t have any thing bad to say about it. I like it a lot. I don’t see myself returning it. I’ll use it more. This is winner in my book!
Have you tried this foundation before? If yes, comment what you think. I love to hear your comments.
Thank you for reading! Hope to see you again on the next one. Bye!
Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! Today’s I’ll be talking about a brand that I’m a big fan of. Many of you who knows me will also know that I’m obsessed with eyeshadow palette and frankly speaking I’ve been collecting palettes from BH Cosmetics since I started blogging. I’ve tried many of their palettes before and none is a disappointment and neither is this palette.
Behold, as I present to you this Special Occasion 39 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette by BH Cosmetics. This palette is ONLY for $10.00 if you make your purchase now. It’s a super steal! (Note: This is not a sponsored or partnership post. I’m just sharing the good news of a product I truly believe works for me and in the hope that it would help on your decision making to purchase and ultimately that you’d love it as much as I did).
The colors in the special occasion palette are ever so alluring and it can be used to create a subtle neutral every day look and then add glam touches to make it a smokey evening glamour. So much and more to say about this amazing palette …
I’ve tried and played with almost all the shadows in this palette and I can tell you this. There is no fallout and no chalky shades that calls for alert. The formula is very pigmented and easy to blend (should be no problem for professionals and anyone who loves a good pigmented shadows). The staying power of these blushes vary between 4-6 hours, depending on the shade and intensity of your strokes. You could definitely built it up to your moods or occasions.
You can see here the ingredients for this palette. Not that this brand is cruelty free in case you’re curious to know if they’re non-animal tested.
BH Cosmetics is a budget friendly brand that I truly enjoy supporting. I’ve so many good experiences with the products I’ve purchased with my own money.
Packaging: The palette is sleek and compact, very sturdy and extremely travel friendly. The hinges are strong enough, the mirror is of good quality and this palette has the sustaining power when it comes to coupling it with other products that bump and crash at each other.
For the eyeshadows alone, you get a total of 30 mattes, satins, and shimmers products. Honestly, I’m in love with these amazing color selections in this palette. I like the blend of earthy neutrals as well as jewel tones. I think this is going to be a fun palette for you to play with!
Here’s a break down of the shadows by column (top to bottom):

Hey guys! Today I want to show you something excited while I was clearing up my makeup stash drawers. I don’t know about you but February always make me feel optimistic and full of energy to do something, anything fun. If you know about the folklore story about groundhog day then that’s basically how I look forward for spring.
Accordingly to Global news, “Canada’s celebrity groundhogs have “predicted” an early spring after officials declared the pudgy prognosticators did not see their shadows. If the groundhog doesn’t see its shadow, then tradition says spring is on the way!” Woohoo!
As I was doing my early spring cleaning, I stumbled upon these makeup products that were shoveled to the deepest end of my makeup drawer. It’s insane to find back beauty products that I used to wear a while ago and then totally forgotten about them.
I really adore the packaging of theVelvets eyeshadows. I’ve two of the nine shades out there and I can’t wait to get my hands on more colors for Spring.
Here’s the color swatches I did with one swipe of shadow directly from the pan to my naked arm. These are some nice neutral shades for everyday wear. The textures are very soft and nicely pigmented. I created an #EOTD look which I shared on my Instagram.
It blends smoothly on the lids. The only downside I find about this berry shadow is that the color payoff is so much better on the eyes than on swatch. It applies best with eyeshadow brush instead of fingers. On a positive note, I didn’t see any creasing or fall out from these shadows which is awesome. For only CAD$2.49 you’ll get a good quality and value for money drugstore products.
For being a super cheap product, I’m actually pretty impressed with this. The coverage is decent and it blends in well with my skin and I look significantly better honestly.
Elf Cosmetics Concealer is available at any Walmart stores. The shade I have is in Light Beige. It’s a nice color match for my skin tone.
I remember now how I used to reach for it. I really enjoy how easy the doe foot applicator work. I applied them on my under eyes, the bridge of my nose and forehead. It gives a good coverage on my skin without looking cakey. Bye bye to my dark under eye circles. This is the product which I know I’ll be reaching for.
Another product I found in my stash is the BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Highlighter. I must have tried it a while ago to write a review and it completely slipped off my mind until a couple of days ago. I start wearing it and I must say, I’m quite impressed with the results.
This is a duo ended pencil with a matte finish on one end and a shimmery one on the other. A double-ended matte and shimmer highlighter for your brows. Use the matte side for a soft, subtle highlight or the shimmer side for an added glow.
I also use this matte highlighter for under my brow bones to clean any access from any brow products besides just as a highlighter. This product is creamy and soft. You wouldn’t believe me if I say that it glides like a dream. So smooth, so blendable. I’m loving it.
They’re very easy to use or apply especially when I use the shimmery ones for my inner corner. It works wonder!
Not convince! You got to try this yourself. I know you’re going to like it as much as I did. Maybe, I say maybe this post will make you want to start your spring cleaning too. who knows you might rediscovered something in your stash too.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Stay tuned for more popped up makeup products which I’m so excited to show you guys. Bye!
Hey guys! It’s February and it could only mean two things. Romance and spring is coming! Yup, I could totally feel the change in the air this morning. Since Valentine’s Day is only a stone throw away I’ll showing you guys some of the product samples I got recently from a (*)PR company for an exchange of my honest opinion.
When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I like to keep things simple but memorable as well. So, there’s nothing worst than being unprepared for that special night. Am I right! If you’re overwhelmed by tons of products and how to, don’t fret! I got you covered with these beauty products that will have you feeling confident and ready for love.
Let’s take a peek what’s inside this PR box:
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, give your skin the ultimate date night prep with ACURE Moroccan Argan Oil in Rose. It smells amazing! Makes me feel like a rose! Aaah!!! You should really try this. It doesn’t feel greasy at all once it absorbs to skin. I used it to massage my body and it makes me feel so relaxing and smells awesome. I did tried it as a face serum too since cold weather makes my combination skin incredibly dry. I applied a small amount on my dry patches and 5 days later I could see sign of improvement on my dry patches.
I got Acure Quick Fix Correcting Balm that contains argan oil and starflower. I really like the scent of this balm. It smells amazing! This argan oil comes in a tube packaging which Initially I thought it was a lip balm corrector but it wasn’t. This borage and argan oil could be used to soothe calm fine lines and wrinkles plus chapped hands, feet, stretch marks and cuticles. I’m very excited to this a little longer before I share my thoughts and opinions on it.
Super cute packaging! Ohh, isn’t it so lovely? This Honey Lip Balm is by The Green Beaver Company. This is my first experience with this brand and I’m falling head over heels on it.
I can’t really explain the scents of this lip balm but if I’ve to put the scents, I would guess it as a natural and raw beeswax smell. As I applied it on my lips, I could feel this creamy moisturizing formula enveloping on my lips. It feels so gentle and balmy. I didn’t notice any heavy or tacky feels on my lips which I really appreciate.
This product is made with 100% natural essential oils. Behold this Lafe’s Natural Deodorant Twist Stick Bliss in Iris and Rose. Retails for $6.99 on their website. Available in four other amazing scents.
I’m not a huge fan of deodorant but this just changed everything. I’m now hooked! Awesome products that lasted all day. It has a strong fragrant scents that lingers on. If you like floral scents then this one is made for you.
Note that this product is free of aluminium and propylene glycol in case you like to know.
Weleda is a multinational company that produces both beauty products and naturopathic medicines with it’s headquarter in Switzerland.
I got this bottle of Jardin De Vie Grenade (Pomegranate inspired) by Weledatogether the my PR box. It comes in a 1.7 fl oz color gradient glass bottle packaging. It’s minimalistic though pretty. It says here on the box that this was inspired by the exotic fragrance of Persian gardens. The ingredients are alcohol and perfume from essential oils.
“Grenade” is exactly like this: Sweet and fruity. Honestly, it could be a hit or miss for me. I don’t love or hate this fragrance. I don’t have anything negative to say about it except that I personally will not reach for. The scent is too strange for my liking. I want to like it but it’s not happening. But I know some of you who likes pomegranate, orange and vanilla would definitely enjoy this fragrance.
I was sent two products from Weleda and the next product I got is their Nail Care Pen. The packaging is simple and sleek. One side has a soft brush where you turn the bottom of the pen for products before applying on nails and cuticles.
I haven’t tried this product yet but I’m all excited to give it a try. It’s that time of the year for my nails to take a break from nail polish after the holidays. My nails could need some tender, loving and care.
This is a random product which I wouldn’t expect to receive from the company. As you can see from the image, this toothbrush is not just any toothbrush. It’s a Travel Toothbrush by Radius Tour. If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know that I’m a sucker for cute things. So, when I saw this unfold, snap and brush travel toothbrush, I was floored. The fact that this is a cruelty free product and you can easily find it on their website or at Amazon, Well and Walmart.
I like the soft brittle brush and concept of a replaceable design very much. I like that it’s eco-friendly too. If you’re an environmentalist who is in the market for a cruelty free and travel friendly toothbrush, I say give this brand a chance.
Last but not least, I also received these travel samples for body and hair by Acure. I’ll report back once I’ve tried them in the blog. And in the meantime, if you’re curious to know more, check out their website link for more details.
What do you think of these products? Comment below which product appeals to you the most.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Stay tuned for more popped up makeup products which I’m so excited to show you guys.
This year, I’ll be adding some exciting contents here in the blog. For a starter, I’ll be doing a brand spotlightwhich focusing on a specific brands which I’ve tested, new finds and old favorites that I discovered. Mostly are in the drugstore price point category. I planned on posting them on a monthly basis Brand Spotlight.
So, without further ado, let’s get comfy and chat beauty!
Today I’m sharing 3 brand spotlights for the month of January that gravitates me the most. I’ve definitely been transitioning out of my dark, matte lip phase and into some lighter neutral nude of late. Don’t get me wrong if you think I’m going to stop rocking my red lipsticks either.
I picked these up at my local Pharmaprix (aka Shoppers Drug Mart) when they had their spend your reward points during shopping trip last December.
I like that it’s so easy to apply, thanks to the doe-foot applicator. I find it’s pigmented enough that you usually only need one swipe, although I usually go for two coats to be safe.
This lip color is truly matte, creamy, long wearing, and the color is absolutely beautiful. I love it.
Bedtime Flirt is that girly nude with a little bit of pink. I tend to go for brown/mauve toned lips, but I love this for something more feminine. A perfect MLBB (“my lips but better”) shade for me. It’s almost as if NYX Cosmeticsintensified my natural lip color, then bottled it in liquid lipstick form! It sits on my lips pretty nicely once set and it doesn’t seems to transfer at all. I like that it’s long lasting too.
My current favorite shade from the range is Bedtime Flirt since this is the only shade I picked up for now. It’s just such an easy shade to wear. Texture wise it feels whipped/mousse like when applied, drying to a matte finish.
The only downside I think the worst (for me) is that sometimes it feels sticky on my lips. I don’t know if I got the bad batch but I hate that feeling. I wish it wasn’t sticky because I really find the color to be so pretty for an everyday lip.
Overall though, I really like the shades of the lipsticks from this line. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who hates sticky feelings on the lips.
NYX DEWY FINISH SETTING SPRAY
If you have been reading my blog, you know that I’ve combination of normal to dry skin. I chose the dewy because most of my makeup is semi-matte looking and my skin extra dry in winter. So this is a nice product to have as far as dewy finish setting spray is concerned. You guys know that I like anything that makes my skin looking healthy and fresh.
This is my first purchase of setting spray from a drugstore brand and I was curious to see try it out. I like that it holds up my makeup in place.
The spritzer sprays fine mist. I like to spritz it upwards and let the mist settle on my face. That way, I avoid any droplets that might fall on my face and disturb the makeup. When I was spraying on my face, I can feel immediately a film holding on my face. I felt like I have a thin, transparent and shiny cover on my face. The smell doesn’t bother me that much.
My overall thoughts, if you’re a person who uses a lot of mineral makeup or lot of powder makeup, you can give this a try. If you use liquid or cream foundation, which by itself imparts some dewiness, then you can skip this spray.
NYX LOVE CONTOUR ALL PALETTE
Since publishing my Love Contour Allpost, I thought it’s fitting to include it here as part of the brand spotlight product to be featured.
What beauty products are you loving in January? If there’s anything you have questions about to would like to recommend just leave me a comment so we can chat beauty! I’ve some exciting post coming up next week. So, please stay tuned!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!
Hey guys! Welcome to Tester Wednesday! Today I’m going to share with you my thoughts and opinion on this Be Eyeshadow Palette by BH Cosmetics I’ve tried over past two week on rotations.
I did mentioned this before in my previous post where I talked about the collaboration between BH Cosmetics and beauty Youtuber Bubz Beauty. She has her vlog channel just like other youtubers. Did I mentioned that she has almost 3 million subscribers? I don’t know if you care but just to put it out.
According to her, it took her 8 years to work on this palette. Imagine the effort and hard-work poured into it. I love supporting youtubers who work hard with brands to create a palette with followers or users in mind. It’s the concept of the palette that caught my attention. She went with the inspirational theme; “Be whatever you want to be”. And this palette says it all.
Let’s talk about the packaging. I really like the rose gold lace detail on the front of the palette. It’s so girlie and feminine. The packaging is cardboard like the other BH Cosmetics YouTube collaboration palettes, which makes it super light weight and easy for travelling. Inside you’d find a decent size mirror and twelve pretty eyeshadows on it.
I’m a sucker for eyeshadows names when it comes to palette. Don’t you hate it when they don’t! I mean come on … I just don’t get why don’t. How hard could it be to name eyeshadows?
But thankfully, this palette what I wished for in a palette. And I’m happy for that.
You could wear inspiring shadows like Grateful with Confident and Able or any combination shades your heart desire. (Image inserted below is what I’m wearing on my eyes today #EOTD using the shadows I just mentioned).
As these shadows are nicely pigmented, you can definitely build up the colors. They’re very easy to blend with no fallouts!
#EOTD Look – It gave me this warm, rustic eye look, and I also winged my eyeliner and applied a warm mauve lipstick to tie it all together!
My top favorites are Happy, Optimistic, Charismatic and Thoughtful. Which inspiration shadow names is your favorite? I love to know.
All of the colors I have used or swatched on my eyelid are decently pigmented. I haven’t found a lot of fallout with these shades and instead I find the formula is almost buttery for the most part except for one of them which I find a little more chalky than the others. It’s the shade Confident (the eggplant purple).
So overall, this is a great palette if you’re looking for a budget palette as an alternative. Another point I like to mention is that this product is cruelty free meaning they’re not tested on animal just in case you’re concern about it.
Did you order the “Be…” palette? What do you think of it? Let me know!
I hope you enjoy this month’s picks. Until next time, take care everybody!
Thank you all so much for popping over to my blog! come find me on all my other social media sites such as Facebook/ twitter/ Instagram @heysharonoox. I love interacting so don’t be afraid to say hi.
Palettes are one of my favorite beauty investments. And it’s safe to say that it’s my soft spot especially when it comes to eyeshadow palette. You can discover new beautiful color combinations, introduce new finishes to your eye look, or layer different tones building an everyday look into a smoky evening finish.
Here’s my latest palette I’ve been loving to be added with my beauty routine revamp.
As soon as I laid my eyes on this Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Vol. 2 Artistic I just knew I had to get one. So I got this with the Sephora VIB sale. Woohoo!
This is a beautiful palette with a nice and bright pop of color schemes and a good size shadow palette you can throw it in your bag. The packaging is slim ad sleek and there you have it.
I would describe the texture as velvety, and the color payoff as rich and pigmented. The staying power and blend ability has been perfected by the brand, and the silky shimmery colors apply equally as well on bare skin and on a primed eyelid.
The palette houses nine pans, which are arranged into color-coordinating columns of three (or rows, if you turn it sideways). Shown here are the color swatches.
Top-Down (by column)
Left: Eye Shadow in I-872 Pearly Pink ( is a very light, pinky-white with a pearly sheen), ME-910 Electric Magenta (is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), S-924 Purple (is a brightened, medium-dark purple with warm, pink undertones and a satin-matte finish) is the Playful Look
Middle: D-552 Crystalline Gray Beige (is a warm-toned, golden pewter with a sparkling, metallic finish), ME-232 Turquoise Blue (is a brightened, medium aqua-blue with a hint of warmer green undertones and a frosted finish), ME-302 Peacock (is a blackened, brown-black with green-teal frost) is the Bold Look
Right: ME-512 Golden Beige ( is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), ME-700 Amber (is a golden copper with warm undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), ME-930 Black Purple (is a blackened purple with subtle, warm undertones and a frosted sheen) will be the Sultry Look.
All of that is just to say that they’re very soft. They almost feel like a cream, but they’re not. They’re just incredible formula with great consistency. They’re so so pigmented. I couldn’t stop saying good things about these shadows.
Note that ME910 Electric Magenta Artist Shadow and S924 Purple Artist Shadow can also be used as a blush.
Crazy colorful and crazy pigmented. They’re really easy to blend. I know this is obviously not an everyday look and not everybody will be rocking. This is a fun color you could wear in the summer as oppose to winter. So don’t be afraid to embrace this color.
The downfall is that I noticed some fallout especially the purple and green. Tap your brush before applying to your face. Don’t opt out just because of the fallout. Try at your nearest Sephora and really check this one out.
All told, I really love this palette, it’s definitely a winner in my book. This post is not sponsored or anything by the way, I bought it with my own money and I’m letting you know how I really appreciate these shadows. I don’t want anybody to miss out on this awesome shadows.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!
Hey guys! As with December coming to an end, I thought I’d do one last first impression post because I’ve actually found quite a few amazing things I wanted to talk about! So, today I’ve a special post which was probably the brand I was so excited to work on.
Yes, it’s Essence Cosmetics makeup brand as you can see from the title of this blog.
I would like to give a quick mention of this cute sparkly silver metallic photo box I found at Michaels Stores though.
And the products I picked up from Maxi are the following: Essence Make Me Brow, Essence Pure Nude Make-Up, DIY Eyeliner and Camouflage Cream Concealer.
If you’re still in the hunt for to fill your stocking stuffers then these makeup products are just perfect.
I remembered mentioning on my twitter last Saturday that I had a Women’s Christmas Banquet to attend and I took advantage to try all the products out. I wore them from 9.00am till noon and when I checked everything were still intact. I checked again at 6.00pm that same evening I was surprisingly impressed. Nothing major to report of fading foundation.
First up is this Pure Nude Make-Up Natural Finish foundation in the shade Pure Sand. If I’m not mistaken, Pure Nude is one of their new collection line by Essence.
I love this foundation. It feels light weight as if you not wearing anything at all, yet evens out my skin and it stays nicely for at least 8 hrs with no need to touch up at all.
The packaging is super cute! I comes with a pump with a slim and simple packaging. Love, love it!
I really like the pigmentation of this formula. It’s not too thick and feels more like a tinted moisturizer than a standard foundation would be. You can see from this image that it has an extremely runny formula but can be built up to a light/medium coverage.
The downside is that it has only 3 shades, but it worked for me…love it! The plus side is it has a light-medium coverage, has a natural finish, and lightweight on wear, great on combo-normal/dry skin.
If you looked two images above, you can see the scar on my arm but with blending the formula, it covers the scar completely with a small amount of products.
The finish is natural looking and non-made-up feeling as promised! If you’re new to makeup, this would be a great product to try given the price and quality you get from it.
Next thing I got is the Camouflage Cream Concealer in Natural Beige for CAD$3.99. It comes in a duo cream pan.
I like to use the lighter peachy one for under eye circles and the beige shade for concealing blemishes. The formula is great given it’s my first impression. Why do I say that… the cream is soft and love the amazing finishing coverage it gives.
From how I wore them, I would describe the coverage as medium, but definitely buildable if you apply more layers as you go along.
I’ve combination dry skin and it doesn’t cake or dry up on my under eye areas like many concealers do. And it’s so creamy and smooth on application. It’s really easy to pat in with the fingertips and voila! You’re done!
My take from my first time experience with this concealer is amazing. I don’t see any creasing or dried up effect from the whole day wearing with I’m quite impressed with. Above all, it’s a great value product with affordable price that I suggest you give this a try.
Another love from this brand is their Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in Browny Brows.
Honestly, my first impression of this brow gel was that I was going to hate it but I was completely wrong. I noticed it has a perfect dark, ashy brown that matches my brows perfectly.
The spoolie pick up a nice amount of products and with one dip is enough for both of my brows. It combs and fill in my brows nicely without resulting to flaking or smudging at all. I’m loving it. Another winner in my book, Essence.
It really coats my sparse yet unruly brow hairs, fills in the gaps in my brows pretty well and gives a nice natural kinda bushy look. My brows never feels so proud. Super natural finishing look, stays for long hours and great value for money.
Last but not least is this Dip Liquid Eyeliner I got in the shade Black.
This is not a waterproof eyeliner but it works dang well.I love how dark it applies and the color was an intense matte black look.
The tip applicator is an ultra soft one with good precision. I love my winged eye look and I know that I’ll have good use of it. I’m happy on how very easy this apply.
Here is the swatch for your eyes only. Hope you’ll be convinced.
What do you think of these? Have you tried any of Essence’s makeup. Comment below if you’ve.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ve a lovely week. [muah]
Hey guys! Today we’re talking about the Under $15 Drugstore Holiday Gift Sets. I’ve very excited to share with you this post since I got them from Walmart.
I’ve been picking and collecting a lot of holiday gift items as the week gets closer to Christmas. There are so many exciting and new gift sets rolling out to the drugstores.
For a starter let’s get into Elf Cosmetics which came out with this four piece “Mad for Matte” lip color set for the holiday. I really like the whole product format in this.
The colors are top notch and you guys knows I love a good matte lip products and these is just right up my alley. The packaging comes in a slim stick design and also you got a lot of control when applying it. At the end of the stick there’s a pops off sharpener in case you want the tip to be finely pointed. I think this is brilliant! Comment below what you think?
Here are the four matte lipsticks that I’ve been loving lately. The colors are so pretty and truly matte finishing. The color intensity is fully there and for the price of CAD$15.00 (US$10.00) for all four, I think that’s awesome value!
I telling you that all these four shades are a winner in my book. You’ll get Pralline which is a beautiful neutral shade. I really love this color a lot for everyday wear. This color is fantastic on its own and you could also mixed it with nude for a natural nude lips.
Moving on is this Rich Red which is a true bright red. Gorgeous for this holiday season. I’m a huge fan of red lip color and this shade just knock me off my feet. I love love this red. It’s very glam and if you’re trying out a new shade this
Next, I got Berry Sorbet which is a pink berry with some brightness to it. On the days that I’m feeling my best, this shade is something I would wear for an evening out. Such a pretty color that’s long lasting and looks great on lips.
Last but not least is the shade Wine which is a nice holiday color of reddish berry. A little dark berry for fall and winter season. They wear comfortably on lips and they glide like a dream. No tugging or any feeling of dryness on my lips whatsoever.
From L-R: Pralline, Rich Red,Berry Sorbet and Wine. I’ll do a lip swatch over at my Instagram if you’re curious.
I also want to show you the color swatch I did on all four shades. They’re awesome matte lip color for less than a fraction of what you would pay for Bite Lipsticks. I highly recommend it.
The next set that I’m very excited to show you guys is their Get Glowing Highlighting Set. This is the best drugstore set that’s cruelty free and for CAD$15.00 (US$10.00) you couldn’t ask for more, I’m telling you.
Here’s the actual products in this set. There’s a brush, a shimmering facial whip and a illuminating palette.
There a good mixture of highlighter, a cooler pinky tone on the top right, the bottom of beige which is very subtle and the golden-y peach.
You get highlighting brush. The bristle is a little longer and you could use it for setting the under-eye or for the highlight. It’s very soft and I’ve been enjoying using it to blend the highlighter.
The glow is very subtle and I really like what it looks on swatch. Really enjoy the consistency of the formula and it’s a great highlighting palette if you’re trying out new products.
One of them is this Shimmery Facial Whip. I tell you this is the best I’ve tried yet. This shade is called Lilac petal but it doesn’t look lilac at all. It’s a soft peachy pink.
Just a tiny itsy bitsy size is enough to brighten your skin. A little goes a long way! It’s highly highly shimmery.
Just take a second and look at this swatch. Are you convince how little you need of this product to get this huge effect. Here is the result! As you can see, I blend it a little and then more as shown on the image below.
I wear it on my cheek as highlighter, tip of my nose and on my cupid bow. Love this to the moon and back. One word = Awesome.
These are products I’ve tried that really impressed. It excites me to give it to those in my list.

If you regularly read my content, you know by now I spend an extraordinary amount of time bathing. I may not wash my hair every single day but you better believe when I tell you that I’m going to spend some time in my shower or bath. It’s how I unwind basically!
On the days that have been slightly on the rough side, I’ve been reaching for a comforting body wash that is creamy, warming, and enveloping—like a hug from my honey bear.
So today, I’ve rounded up the best Beauty Haul by Aveeno that will hold up throughout your Thanksgiving feast. Yes, I’m talking about beauty skin products which was sent to me by Aveeno for considerations. As you may know, Aveeno is a personal favorite brand of mine and I’m pretty excited to try these products and more than excited to share them here.
So let’s get started.
Here are the latest inAveeno huge beauty haul: Enjoy!
Pure Renewal Shampoo
Pure Renewal Conditioner
Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion
Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion
Stress Relief Body Wash
Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Bath
Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash
Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne
Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Spot Gel
Neutrogena All in One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes
The first thing I want to talk about is their Calming & Comfort Lotion in lavender and vanilla scents.
This lotion is designed to help calm babies and I would definitely wanted to use it for my little one before bedtime. Sleep is important but a good night sleep for me is everything. I’m sure a lot of mommy out there could agree!
These are all amazing products for anytime of the year and especially for those who have going to spend your hours prepping and cooking for Thanksgiving. The stress relief foaming bath and moisturizing lotion are something to help unwind and relax after the long day. One thing I can tell you is that they definitely have everyone in mind when they sent me products for baby and men in the family.
Aveeno Stress Relief Foaming Bath in lavender, charmomile and ylang-ylang oils. With thanksgiving and the big holiday approaching fast, I got stressed up just by thinking of the holiday. Shopping lists and Christmas preparation could be overwhelming sometimes.
Luckily, I’ve some stress relief to help me through the holidays. I can’t wait to get into the tub for a nice and relaxing bath.
I know that this product will made it’s way into my daily routine since Christmas holiday is usually hectic and I can imagine myself using this a lot to unwind. It says on the bottle that it hydrates for 24 hours and I’m intrigued to put this to the test. Let me know if you would like me do a post review on the comment section.
Another plus is that since we’re not spared from colder winter – lots and lots of moisturizer is necessary! Your skin is going to thank you later for it.
If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’m a huge fan of body wash. I went through body wash very quickly. I’m very excited to try this stress relief body wash and see if it really works. I’ll report back for update in my next post. Don’t forget to stay tuned!
The body wash is formulated with lavender and chamomile which from what I heard is that lavender has the aromatherapy properties to help on stress relief.
Moving on is the Aveeno Baby Calming and Comfort Bath. I love the scents of lavender and vanilla. It’s so refreshing and soothing without going overboard. I’ll have my little boy try this bath product. He loves a good bath even in autumn and gets to play with the bubbles. I know that he is going to like it but I want to see his reaction to this product.
This might be TMI but in case you don’t know, I wash my hair every 2 other days. I haven’t tried any hair products from this brand, so yes I’m quite excited with the prospect. I’m happy to see that their Pure Renewal shampoo and conditioner are made for all hair types. That’s cool!
Let’s talk packaging. I really like the long green cylinder tube. It makes storing so much easier and convenient. It’s not too bulky or heavy. A good amount of products with amazing scents to it. They’re in full size samples and honestly, I was really blown away.
I know that I’ll be busy testing out most of the products by myself and will have my hubby try the product for men. I’ll do a separate product review once I’ve tried them. These are all products that I know I’ll be reaching out for when the holiday gets closer.
Next on the list is an interesting product which I’m dying to have my hubby try is this Invigorating Face Wash. He is not very interested in this department but I’m going to convince him to try it out anyways. I’m excited to hear what his thoughts are which then I’ll update right back once I got his feedback.
Makeup Removing Face wipes are one of the most important beauty must-haves for festivals and a little pocket-sized pack like this is perfect for travelling too. You get 25 wipes which is a good quality and talk about product that actually work. Well, this I could confirm it works because I’ve tried and love it!
Next is the Moisturizing Bar for Dry Skin. It contains natural colloidal oatmeal that combat dry and itchy skin. This soap would be great to use for winter season. I don’t usually use soap on my body but for you guys, I’m going to try it and let you know what I think next.
Last but not least, I want to show you Neutrogena Daily Leave on Mask and Spot Gel for Stubborn Acne. I’ve been lucky to have some good skin days in the summerbut with the weather turning colder, my skin tends to be acting up. I’ll definitely be wearing this once I spotted a bad skin day.
These are a couple of drugstore gems that you got to check them out. They’re a prefect addition for my winter skin, hair and facial routine. All the products mentioned, you could find them at any drugstores, Walmart, Target US, CVS and on Aveeno’s website.
What do you think guys? Will you be checking these out soon? Comment below your reply. I love to read your comments.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!
