Hey guys! I’m back today to do kind of current favorites post because I was hoping to make it into our monthly beauty series. Comment below if you like to read this type of post and so let’s get back to my current favorites.
Today, I’m kind of doing mostly my current things. I really like all of these products so I thought I’ll talk about them. So, I’m going to talk about mostly makeup but I do have a few kind of prep skincare bits.
Starting off with SPF, I’ve been so obsessed with SPF this past summer and the two that I’ve been using the most so far and that I’ve been really liking are the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face. This one has SPF 50 so it definitely give enough sunscreen protection from UVA and UVB when days I’m going to be outside more.
I’ve been liking this so I wanted to mention it because some people have been asking me about it. I do like how lightweight it feels and the best part is it’s not sticky nor greasy and it doesn’t leave any white residues on the skin. It sinks into skin very well and so easy to spread on the skin. I feel like Purescreen is true to it’s name.
The other thing that I’ve been diligently using is the Aveeno Positively Ageless Day with SPF 30. I’ve been loving this brand forever so I really love this one because I find that it sinks into the skin really well and the other thing I love about this is that it leaves my skin feels so nice and moisturized. It smells really good and I just can’t get bored over it. Love the SPF coverage and how hydrating it makes my skin. This product doesn’t leave my skin looking glowy or shinny. I do notice there’s a certain radiant glow to the skin and if you’re not into that, then maybe you know that’s something to consider. I’ve combination to dry skin so it’s not a big deal either way. I like this so much more than any other regular drugstore day cream moisturizer.
Another skincare product that I want to mention is the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. They claim it’s their #1 serum for younger looking and radiant skin and I totally agree. I got mine in a deluxe sample format (8ml) but for a full size they comes in between 30ml to 75ml a bottle. I’ve been using for a while now and honestly I did noticed a significant improvement on my dull and dry skin. I literally used only a pearl size of product for both sizes of my face. I don’t need to use a lot of this by any means and it’s just part of my evening routine now. I just use a tiny little bit every single night.
Okay, so moving on to makeup products. The first thing is the Makeup Forever Water Blend Face and Body Foundation. I did a full review post on my blog a while ago and if you like to visit, I’ll leave the link here. I want to talk about this particular one because it has become my favorite mid-range liquid foundation which isn’t specifically for face but also the body. It was sent to me and I’ve absolutely liking it a lot. Even though I’ve many face products to test out, I always find my way back to this one. I’m so impressed with the formula and the coverage. It wears really nice and long lasting. I would say you would get a solid 8 hours out of it. If you’re dry or with combination skin you might really like this.
You guys probably have heard all the hypes and raves about this Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara on YouTube so I do want to quickly talk about it. I don’t wear a lot of mascara if you know me or have been following me on my blog. I wear them occasionally or when I really want a little extra definition to the lashes.
This I felt like it gave a great separation of lashes and also making them really nice and full. I definitely recommend this to you guys that needs something that’s flake free and will stay on your lashes nice and long wearing throughout the day. I didn’t have any transfer or anything like that.
The next thing I want to talk about is the Dolly Wink Eyeliner. I’m a huge fan of liquid eyeliner in general and I’ve been loving this for the past few weeks and can see it becoming a staple make-up bag go-to. I just love their overall performance. It goes on very easily and it dries to a matte finish. So yeah, not much else to say about it. I really like it so check out Tokyu Hands or Dolly Wink website, if you’re into Japanese makeup products.
I’m bringing back again two of my old-time favorite lipsticks from Lancome and it’s their Color Design Sensational Effect Lipstick. I’ve been obsessed with nude and red lip color so these are just right up my street. Trendy Mauve is described as a cream caramel pink and Designer Bloom is a beautiful pink berry with a nice sheen to it. It goes on buttery smooth and comfortable on the lips. The colors are well pigmented and so lightweight. I always return to Lancome because it’s the only brand that truly works for me. It’s a beautiful color lipsticks that makes you feel POSH!
I’ve been wanting to try this for a while because I know tons of people were talking about how good it sets the makeup on. I’ve been loving this and happy that I’m really to have found something that you know is performing well for me. Thanks to Mist & Fix by Make Up For Ever!
I think that’s it for this current favorites and I hope you guys enjoyed it and I see you soon. Bye!
