Hey guys! A new month brings a new brand spotlight your way. Each month I blog What’s New in Brand Spotlight. With each new month full of amazing products and brands which I’m so excited to share here with all of you. This is the third series since it started in 2017.
So today, I’ll be talking about my long time favorite brand – BH Cosmetics. Woohoo! I feel recharged and refresh after a lovely relaxing weekend. I took Tuesday off of last two weeks and was forced to take a break now and then by my doctor … amazing how addicted to work I’ve become. Unfortunately when I take a day off during the weeks, everything piles up and I’m now playing catch up. I’ll try to schedule my posts sparely instead of a 3 days block.
BH Cosmetics is one of the most affordable brands that caters good quality makeup that makes you wonder how they can sell them for such a low price. If you haven’t checked their website, do so, because they’ve amazing discounts, promotions, sales practically throughout the year. They ship worldwide too, at a very reasonable price in case you wonder!
When I saw the BH Cosmetics 6 Color Palette Contour & Blush 2 I knew I had too try it. I got mine from Winners for CAD$14.99 a palette but if you check out now at BH Cosmetics’ website, you only pay US$9.99 for the same palette. It’s available in two shades, a cool or warm toned palette.
This coral pink blush is so pretty for spring. I love how rich and pigmented, but light-weight the blush is. I was surprised at how well this blush blended. Awesome color payoff, a little goes a long way! The all natural and cruelty free blushes are so amazing. I love and quite impressed with myself in finding a cruelty free brand spotlight this month.
I’ll have the color swatches down below.
I noticed the white shade is great for setting the under eye. It finishes as matte which I don’t recommend applying it as highlighter.
None of the shades are chalky or powdery at all. There was no fall out either when used as a crease contour shade. I can say all these shades blend well together.
The contour powder and blushes are arranged neatly in large pans in the palette. It’s not just reminiscent of Zoeva’s Face Contour palette but it looks quite similar. Good news is that it would actually fits your brushes nicely. Unfortunately, since I don’t own this palette, I can’t draw a comparison, but would be interested in what the direct comparison would show …
Did I mentioned that they’re all matte!! Definitely build-able and nothing to complain about for the price.
Overall, I think it’s suitable for “contour-blush-beginners” as it includes Highlighter, Bronzer and Blushes. An all-in-one product for a price that should not be higher. It’s not a must-have palette, but it certainly is an unsung hero, because when you apply it right, it gives the most gorgeous natural finish to your face. I hope this review helped you.
