Brand Spotlight – Makeup Revolution London

As I was saying on the previous post, sorry that I’m a little late posting this blog, but I wanted to wait to try them out before writing about them.

These are the remainders of product review that has been long overdue. All hail to so many convenient online shopping that without careful planning, it could basically make a dent to the credit card. I pretty much got carried away and bought more that I really need, frankly. But heck! I love trying new products so these are a great opportunity for me to grab some UK drugstore makeup products. I’m talking about the crazy exchange rates and postage fee.

I’m a sucker for eyeshadow palettes and if you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’m obsessed with them. I simply could say no! And that’s me.

I was very excited when I saw this 32 Ultra Professional Eyeshadows Palette. This is like a dream come true palette if you’re a novice users or if you’re an eyeshadow palette collector like myself.

This palette contains some of the best selection of nude and neutral shades. The shadows ranging from cream to peaches, taupe, browns, beige, silver, gold, coppers, bronzes and black. In my opinion, I find this palette offers a wide variety of shades that will suffice for most of our needs.

Don’t blink, gurl! 32 shades in one palette with a great mix of shimmer and matte wearable and experimental shades to create any look and play with, for amazing performance and value! It’s certainly a winner in my book.

All these shadows are beautifully pigmented with an addition of some new shades and it comes with a large full size mirror. I want to put it out there that there is no applicator or brush provided with the palette.

The finishes are mattes, frosty and satin. There are only a few matte and satin finish shades though since the majority of shades are frosty.

They blend easily and last all day. It’s an inexpensive drugstore palette that offers quality.

Next up is the Lip Amplification. I got the shades in High Voltage and Full Throttle (they have some great names by the way for lip colors).

The High Voltage is a dark hot fuchsia pink which looks like it’s going to be a hot pink mess for my skin tone turned out to look not too bad on me. I did a hand and lip swatch for you guys on the images below.

I found this to transfer quite a bit when I did the kiss test on my hand. But if you blocked it out with tissues then it would set in nicely.

One thing I noticed about this lip color is that it doesn’t leave your lips feeling tacky like those NYX Lingerie lipstick. It sets in comfortably and feel lightweight on lips. It’s like not wearing any lippie at all.

Moving on, I got Full Throttle which is  a bright fire engine red. This blew my socks off, it wasn’t anything that I was expecting, it was so much more!

OMG, look it’s really pigmented! I love, love this formula! Oh did I mentioned that red is my favorite classic lip colors beside natural nude.

It finished with a pretty subtle but yet sexy pouty lips. I will definitely repurchase this one once I run out.

Let’s get to the next product which I’ve been dying to share with you guys on swatches.

This is the darker one and the lightest shade in this one is pretty much the same as in radiant, possibly a little less yellow in my opinion.

Shimmer Brick Rose Gold

Once I mixed all the colors together they made a nice bronze-y, shimmery brown.

Something else I’ve used these for the past few weeks, other than bronzing and shimmering up my cheeks, I wear them as eyeshadows! You can use the individual colors on your lids and they work really well as an eyeshadow. I’m quite impressed with the results it gives.

I’ve nothing bad to say about this other than the shimmery bronzer that I thought it would be which isn’t a bad thing at all! I really like the lighter shades for highlighter. So pretty!

How much for this stripes you asked? These retail at £3.00 each, yes £3.00! The price is the real deal, don’t you think!

Let me know if you have already and what you thought of them down below, I love hearing from you 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

  1. This is the first I have heard of this brand, but it looks like they have some great stuff. Off to do some shopping now….

  2. I’m glad you thought Revolution was pretty good, they are a good brand 🙂 I use them every once in a while, I have a crap ton of makeup right now so I don’t need any more, lol!

  3. The eyeshadow palette is totally gorgeous – I love all the colors and how they have hints of blue and red without branching out too far from “neutral.” But that last palette, it’s my favorite thing from this post – I love that it can be everything, just a highlight, just a bronzer, eyeshadows … so versatile!

  4. I really love the Shimmer Brick Rose Gold. I don’t wear makeup as I don’t know how to apply it but these colors are something I will try. I plan to learn as much as I can. Thank you for sharing!

  5. I love, love, love new makeup! It’s probably my biggest addiction. That fuschia lip color is absolutely awesome! So bright and fun! The eyeshadows are so diverse, something for every mood!

  6. The colours of the eyeshadows are almost all amazing. I usually don’t like half the colours of such palettes but this one seems cool. Not heard about the brand yet but then I generally stick to my usual brands rather trying out new stuff. Maybe I’ll have a look at this one for when I am travelling… X

  7. Wow, that cool toned matte shadow palette is so gorgeous. Perfect for me. And the lip glosses are fabulous: so opaque and I like that you said they’re not sticky. I will have to look into these. I always wonder if we get the same MUR products as you guys
