Blogtober Favorite Makeup Essentials

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share a few products with you all that have become my favorite makeup essentials. As we also in preparation to go in the fall season so I thought now is a good time to blog about it. Is this only me or anyone else feel that the weather just get from summer to autumn just like (finger snap) that! It’s cray I know but like many fall is one of my favorite season of the year.

Alright! I’m very excited so let’s get to business.

First up is the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream. This is a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. In case you want to know, I’m wearing the shade Light to Medium. Love the formula and I really like the shade for my skin tone.

The packaging comes in a squeeze tube and I like the overall packaging. It’s easy to use and you could squeeze the day light out of this tube. I’ve been reaching out for it over the summer and I was so glad that I found this affordable drugstore BB cream that actually works.

This is a BB cream or tinted moisturizing cream so, you won’t get a full coverage from it. It goes on sheer by giving a nice coverage bases. If you’re looking for a no makeup – makeup then I highly recommend it.

Moving on is the L’Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Powder. I’ve it in the shade Sand Beige. While summer had been pretty hot, I got more oily on my t-zone and this one was a savoir. It’s the smoothest powder I’ve ever touch in my life!

Another little product that works utterly well for me is the Joe Fresh 2 in 1 Duo Concealer. This liquid concealer side is creamy and not oily at all. It’s nicely pigmented to hide imperfection and blemishes like no others. Whereas, I find the other end of the concealer stick a tad opaque in formulation but it works out well once blended in. This is the best drugstore concealer for the low price.

The only downside I can think of is their low color selections but other than that, I’m satisfied with this product.

Next makeup staple I wore last summer and into fall is the Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder. I got in the shade Natural and I have yet to find a person who doesn’t like this bronzer. This is an affordable drugstore product with amazing quality which I would recommend if you’re in the market for one.

Look at this gorgeous shade with its beautiful pigmentation. I really like this matte bronzer look.

This is my latest favorite favorites since I haven’t wear it for too long and it’s the Milani  Luminoso Baked Powder Blush. I like their Corallina blush which has shimmery finishing and when since Luminoso has been floating on the internet with good reviews, I thought to try it out myself.

This blush is beautiful, it’s this peachy pinky coral color toned in it. I really like this blush better than the Corallina because it gives me a more natural dewy sun glow finish rather than the shimmery ones. I like that it has good staying power, it’s great that I don’t have to touch up all day.

I’ll update you guys in my next post if I seriously seriously a good stuff. I believe it is!

Another favorite of mine is this Defining Brow Pencil by Flower Beauty in Light Brown. This is by far the best eyebrow pencil I picked up at Walmart. The shade is just right and the formula is also great. I say  you should run to the store and get it now at your local Walmart!

I say this is a good alternative to Mac Eyebrow pencil or the Anastasia Brow Wiz.

The brow pencil is very pigmented and goes on smoothly. I would definitely say it’s much smoother than the eyebrow pencil that needs manual sharpening. I don’t need to use a lot of effort to get a great color payoff. It comes in a retractable twist-up pencil which is so convenient and the oval tip is easy for me to apply a thin line on my eyebrows. Control is always great. I love love this eyebrow pencil a lot.

I bought three more to stock up since Flower Beauty had been taken off the rack from Walmart Canada. If you see this at your local Walmart, I suggest you check it out. It’s super affordable and I couldn’t recommend it enough. You really have to try this personally.

I’m a huge fan of eyeliner and especially more so when it comes to liquid liners. I guess I’ve tried and tested a good amount of eyeliners over the past two years of blogging and I find this Dolly Wink Eyeliner to be really amazing. I got this from my daughter when she was in Japan.

The color formula is the blackest black and it goes on effortlessly. I don’t mind  the built of the tip honestly, it’s  of felt material but easy to control. You can do your liner either thin or thick. All up to your own creativity. For me, this is a winner in my book.

This is the most raved mascara on the internet last spring where everyone were talking about it. I too jumped in with the band wagon and got The Super Sizer Mascara by Covergirl

Well, I wasn’t blessed with long and thick lashes so the best I could ask for is a good workable product that can make my lashes look voluminous and lengthened that even the desert camel will be jealous, #lol (jk). And this mascara did just that. It doesn’t smudge on me either which is great. I even used it for my bottom lashes since the applicator is rather small.

Overall, I’m really impressed with it and would repurchase. I hope that Covergirl will not discontinued it.  If you’ve never tried this before, you need to give it a go.

Next up on this Blogtober Favorite is the eyeshadow palettes. They’re my favorite product to talk about. If you’ve been following my blog you’d know that I love eyeshadows and if they’re in palette packaging then I’m game.

I’ve posted a review post last week and here’s the link if you want to read the full review.

I’m a big matte lip cream fan and when I saw these at Walmart, I picked up the first shade in Wisteria, having quite impressed with the formula and finishing, I went back and grabbed Cherry Blossom. I need to have a nude shade in my life and went back the third time to pick the shade in Daffodil. Call me crazy but I’m someone who would buy 2 or three things of the same kind if I’m in love with them.

I love, love and loving all the shades honestly. It’s lightweight and set in matte. You can head over to my instagram by hitting here for more lip swatches.

There’s a little color transfer but once you blotted it, all you’ve is a gorgeous matte lips.

All Hard Candy Cosmetics‘ products are cruelty free. I’m seeing more and more drugstore companies taking a leap to non animal testing program which I applauded them for. Is it only me or you feel it too? Comment below.

I hope you’d have enjoyed reading this post and find it interesting. Let me know if there is any products you like me review on the comment.

Thanks for stopping by to read and I hope to see you again on my next blog.

Peace out!

Sharon xoxo

    1. This post reminded me that it’s about time to switch into my fall/winter makeup routine! I’m so excited to bring back dark lip colors into my look!

  1. I am a total makeup addict. Thanks for sharing the BB Cream review, I’ve been looking for one that isn’t expensive but works well, especially for the winter season (I get blotchy from the dry weather). The eyeliner looks really awesome too!

  2. I do have some favorite makeup essentials for myself that I have been using for a quiet long time and your list is quiet interesting as well. The Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream sounds amazing, but it is that Bronzing Powder which got my attention right away for its gorgeous color. The eye-shadow palettes looks great as well!
