Is Time Off a Part of Your Blogging Plan?

OMG you guys! I’m writing this post while sitting on a black leather over-sized chair, listening to radio in my hotel room, and will soon be heading out to the beach after finishing this post. The view is simply amazing, there is a gorgeous lake not far away from where we stay.

Frankly, I’m pretty stressed out about taking a two weeks off before school starts.

Yes, I know … I should be stressed right now. But I’m actually feeling okay about it – things will work out, and I’m doing some of the most important work I’ll do all year. I’m taking some time off.

Running my own blog as a business or as a hobby requires intense amount of energy, forethought and foresight. It’s way too easy to wake-up to the laptop, instead of with a cup of espresso coffee in the morning. Anyone else could relate?

I’ll be taking my weeks off from blogging but I’m not going to sweat about it, I’ve already scheduled a couple of Monday posts while I’m gone and actually utilize my trip for blog ideas! I will still share  pictures on Snapchat and Instagram. And if you haven’t subscribed to my blog or social media already, you might want to do so now.

Reason for taking a time off:

In fact, letting our minds off the hook, to wander, to experience, is actual a key ingredient of the creative process. If you are waiting for the next “a-ha” moment, whether it’s a new article idea, blog tagline or potential partner, your best bet is to chill for a bit and take your well deserve vacation.

If you’re furiously trying to force out a new big idea, take it from me, and take a break. The world won’t end, I know my friends would understand.

How do you take time away from your blog? Have you ever taken a blog vacation? What worked (or what didn’t)? Tell me about it in the comment below. I love to hear what you think.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I’ll see you guys again very soon. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Using a few weeks to recycle old posts. Kids to college and some traveling are limiting my time and since I have gained over a thousand new followers in two months, there are people I think could benefit from some earlier posts to get to know me. Relax and enjoy yourself. It will give you more material when you get back.

Good for you for taking a break! I can’t remember if I actually took one consciously…I probably just ran out of time before going on vacation and didn’t bother posting 😛

    • I hoping to come back from my vacation fully charged! Hahaha! We all need a little time off once in a while. I have’t taken one for a long time and I’m enjoying my summer vacation now. x
