Mineral Makeup Line From Pacifica – Review & Swatch

Hi guys! I’ve been falling head over heels with the Pacifica beauty products! I was beyond giddy to find it at the Whole Food Market in Ottawa awhile ago while I was there for a weekend getaway.

Truth is, we don’t have Pacifica where I lived which really sucks. I tried their single eyeshadow before from my Ipsy Glam bag and that was it. I know that I really like the eyeshadows and had been always on the hunt to collect a few items from this brand.

So, I was super excited to try them, and here are my thoughts and opinions.

I like to start my post by saying that their products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. Let’s just take a few seconds to feast our eyes on these bomb-ass mineral makeup must-haves, shall we!

Let’s start with the Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette by Pacifica. This palette is selling for CAD$16.99 and highly pigmented, coconut-infused shadows are non-toxic, easy to apply, and absolutely stunning! There are four beautiful shades in this palette as seen here.

I’m a big fan of eyeshadow palette and when I saw this I immediately know that I need it in collection. I can’t even tell you how much I like the color selections on this palette.

The packaging is simple and sleek. Easy to just drop in your purse and go. The only downside I can find from this palette is packaging which doesn’t have a mirror on the lid. Besides that, I really really like it! On the other hand, I like that the cover is of clear plastic material that is easier to see the eyeshadows.

This palette includes the following shades: from my right to left –

  • Urchin– An iridescent jeweled purple with gold tones.  You can either use dry as a shadow, or wet as a liner.  It’s perfect for smudging and a great substitute for black.
  • Golden– A perfect gold with just the right amount of shimmer.  Use on the lids or line the eyes.
  • Coral Sand– A satin lid base or highlighter.
  • Skinny Dip– Matte nude base, a universal brightener.  Perfect for using on the inner eye to add brightness.

I believe there is another color palette in Mystical Supernatural Eyeshadow Palette that has cooler tone shadows for the same price at Pacifica online website or at the Whole Food Market.

It’s worth mentioning that these eyeshadows also have great staying powder – I’ve worn these shadows the whole day everyday for the past one week and I’m wearing them again today. I didn’t notice any product moving at all. Oh yes! I need to do my happy dance!

I really like the texture and the staying power is so amazing, especially if you wear them with an eye primer for intense, no creasing and long lasting eye makeup look.

Texture wise, these shadows are creamy and soft. I really like the formula.Very easy to apply and for blending. Gives you a dewy and pretty finishing without needing to work much on.

Are these color swatches gorgeous or what! One swipe is all it takes on bare arm (without eye primer or base). Awesome pigmentation and great color payoff. What else could you ask for right!

I want to put this out that all these shadows are with shimmery finish. If you like shimmery shadows then you’re going to love it. I really think it would be perfect for any type of skin toned.

This is an amazing palette if you’re looking for something new to try and it’s also cruelty free. I’ll will recommend it to my family and friends.

Next is the Radiant Shimmer Coconut Multiples for CAD$16.99 with net wt: 0.40 oz. There are so many fun and interesting products that I really want to try from Pacifica. I’ve added a few products in my wishlist. Let me know in the comment below if there is any products you like to see me try.

But for now, let’s settle with the one I got here:

A beautiful, beautiful palette. Look how pretty they are and they smell amazing! Delightful coconuty scents. Yum!

Bronzed – sun-kissed color bronzer, awesome for contouring

Island Rose – pretty and soft pink blush for radiant dewy finish

Moonlit – iridescent pale pink for shimmery highlights

From the left: Bronze, Island Rose and Moonlit

On my left is the bronzer which is silky/buttery and it blends very well without much effort needed. All you need is a good brush or your fingers to apply these products. The colors feel kinda wet and creamy in their pans but dry down to a powdery finish as you work them into your skin.

These three products are infused with coconut source which you can safely use it for cheeks, eyes and lips. How cool is that, right!

And most importantly, all the ingredient used are natural, 100% vegan, paraben and talc free. Yes, it’s also cruelty free.

I’m in love with the highlighter now. It’s lightweight and super easy to brush up with a highlighting brush. No fallout and it gives a beautiful shimmer on cheeks. This is the only pan that has dry formula –  by the way.

The blush and bronzer are creamy and so easy to pick up products. Both blends like a dream.

Wear ’em on your cheeks, eyes, lips — heck, your entire body — for sheer color and a soft glow.

And if you want more pigment, you can always layer.

I mostly wear them on my cheeks and eyes, although I’m not really crazy about ’em as eye products. They’re quite sheer except applying them as eyeshadow base. At least that’s how I’ve been wearing mine.

I notice that the staying power is not that incredible. If you’ve oily skin then you might want to skip this palette. The main ingredient consists of coconut source and when it’s warmed, the formula would eventually be wash away.

Note that, they get wiggly on me throughout the day and only last about 2-3 hours, so they’re not the first face products I’d reached even I mentioned that I really like the shade and texture. I’ve combination skin but tend to be more oily on my T-zone area especially in the summer. But if you really love this product, you could always try layering it with powder blush.

Now, I’m going to go ahead and play with these and will continue using them.

Have you tried any of Pacifica mineral makeup product yet? What do you think?

I hope you enjoy my post. So that’s pretty much it for today’s post!

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. And I’ll see you guys again on the next one. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

  1. I always want to love Pacifica, but their powder shadows/blush aren’t quite pigmented enough for me. Very pretty shades though

    1. You’re very welcome! So glad to hear you can find them at Target. I got them when I was on a weekend trip to Ottawa. We don’t have Whole Foods where I lived 😦

  2. Great review! I love Pacifica Makeup, especially their Mascara! It is not favorite Natural mascara (so far!). These palettes look great too! Thanks for the swatches and in depth review. Tal xo
