Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipsticks – Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild recently revamped their Silk Finish lipsticks, gone are the silver tubes and they are now replaced with black plastic tubes like these ones.

Okay, so the shades I have of the revamped line are:

Blind Date – gorgeous purple berry. This is one of the new colors. Reminds me sorta of the Sugar Plum Fairy shade in the megalast line. I feel that the formula is very pigmented, went on smoothly and evenly. Didn’t dry out my lips either. I’m in love with my Blind Date!

Hot Paris Pink – amazing red coral. When both red and coral mixed together you wouldn’t believe how stunning the shade was. Hot Paris Pink is prettiest of all, I really love this one too! 😉

I really love the formula in these lipsticks. Its formula contains all the same things as the other guys: rich color, vitamins A & E, aloe vera, and really feels like putting silk on your lips. I love how comfortable it feels on lips. It wear lasted for 2-3 hours which I’m quite impressed.

The downside of this Silky Lipstick is the tube packaging. I find that the packaging is frustrating to deal with, you can’t just pop the cap on and off, you have to line it up in order to close shut. The upside is the clear plastic cover made easier to see the lip colors.

This Silky Lipstick is available in 24 amazing shades on Wet n Wild website for US$0.99, that’s a crazy bargain if you ask me! CAD$1.99 if you go to Walmart Canada.

Anyway, yeah, these $0.99 lipsticks are great. What can you even buy for $0.99 cents anymore these days? That a great steal & I will purchase more. I highly recommend them my friends, they’re super affordable.

Which lip color would you prefer? Would it be the Megalast or Silky Finish lipstick? Don’t forget to comment below.

  1. I agree!

I picked up the Cherry Bomb and Mink Brown. I really like the cherry bomb-i think the Mink Brown is a bit too pale for me.

Heading to Walmart to see what others I can find….for. 99-totally worth having every color-lol!

    • That’s so awesome! I haven’t tried Min Brown but Cherry Bomb is a lovely shade. I agree – the price is so affordable with good quality too. Let me know if you pick any nice colors at Walmart. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Both shades are lovely on you! 🙂
And yes, the packaging style is annoying – I have a couple of lipsticks that you have to line up to close the lid – too much effort! 😛

Hmmm, they’re more like a gloss with great pigmentation. I love that though. What ridiculous packaging though. Sheesh.

  5. Hot Paris is such a beautiful shade of pink, I love it! xxx
