Dollar Store Beauty Haul

It’s officially fall! Hurrah! The season most of you have been waiting for is here. Pumpkin spice, darker days, cool weather, apple pickings, halloween and new fall makeup collection for us to be excited about.

Since it was a gorgeous weekend, I decided to check out if there were any new makeup products worth picking up at the Dollar Store. So with less than $15.00, I checked out with 5 products in my bag. Continue reading if you guys like to see what I got.

From left to right are the Eyeshadow Brushes by Lori False Eyelashes and Quad Blushes by Mariposa and lastly Eyeshadows by Almay.

With just $2.50 each for this Almay Pure Blends Single Eyeshadow which was freaking drawing me to it. First seeing Almay in this Dollar store and like children “Pokemon” I’ve gotta collect them all.😛 So, I did picked the shades in 245 Lavender and in 240 Sage. Net wt: 0.09 oz and it claimed to be hypoallergenic with 98.2% natural and I’m all good with that. Super excited to do swatches right away. Oh wow!  It’s super pigmented shadow and I love how smooth it was. The packaging reminds me of the Balm signature packaging – comes in a sturdy hard cardboard box with a magnetic closure just like the Instain Blushes for an example. Very cool packaging! I’ll share more of the color swatches and review in my next post. So, stay tuned.

mariposa blushes

Mariposa is a generic name which I think can only be found at the Dollar store but I could be wrong. Let me know if you’ve seen this brand at other stores or locations near you? This is a super huge compact blush I’ve ever seen. It’s enormous and was as big my hand open wide. So you could imagine the size. Another bonus point is that it cost $2.50 only and great value for money. Unbelievably good price for such a generous formula in it. It claims to be Not Tested On Animals. So, yay for that!🙂

You’ll get four beautiful Blush by Mariposa in this compact disc. There’s Pink, Plum, Peachy Coral and Neutral Mauve. Frankly, I don’t have high expectation on Dollar store products but this blush is mind blowing. The color payoff is insanely pigmented and also its true to the pan. I believe there is another palette for pale to light skin typed but this one has all medium shades perfect for this fall season.

mariposa falsies

Have I mentioned that I’m now obsessed with falsies? Many of you know that I’ve never tried a falsies before and was always afraid to wear them. I’m not sure what makes me changed my mind to try but here I am with more false eyelashes to practice on. Honestly, after my first experience with false lashes my perception of wearing a falsies changed completely. I really enjoyed this new love. So, I got 5 pairs of False Eyelashes by Mariposa for $3.00 a packet which is a good deal for a starter on falsies.

lori blushes

Last but not least is the Brushes by Lori. I picked the Angled brush and Eyeshadow brush. I like the texture of these brushes. It’s soft and very easy to work on. For only $1.50 each I’m pretty satisfied with the quality given the low price.

That’s it for this month’s Dollar Store Beauty Haul and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it. I’ll definitely try and the eyeshadows and blushes to give you a full review in my upcoming post to including color swatches.

So until next time, stay beautiful and have a great day!

What is your favorite false eyelashes and if you are to recommend it to your bff which brand would you suggest?

Thank you so much for stopping by.
