DIY- How To Fix Your Broken Powders?

Hey lovelies!

It has happened to all of us–our favorite compact powder drops to the floor and cracks into a million beautiful little pieces. Whatever you do, don’t put that product back in your makeup bag. It will cause a mess and an even bigger headache. Instead, put your ingenuity to work. You can fix your broken powder makeup with a super easy trick and have your makeup back to new.

Is this a familiar sight? Don’t worry, I have a trick to save your powder! Even Michelle Phan has done this tutorial on how to repair your broken makeup. I put a link below to share how she does hers.

All you need is some time, an alcohol and this post πŸ˜€ lol

REVIEW: Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder by NYC in . I got this a month’s back at Target. It cost me about $4.99 if I remember correctly. But since now that this compact is fixed, I’m so glad to be doing a review on this product. I wanted to talk a little bit of this smooth skin BB radiance powder which I’m like “Oh ,my gosh!” it feels so creamy and luxurious! It doesn’t have a visible shimmer on and i doesn’t make my skin looks dry or cake-y while when I looked up closed on the mirror, I can say okay, I see some glow which is very skin like.

The flop of this NYC BB Radiance Perfecting Powder is that there was only two shades available. I think the one that I have is the darker shade of a translucent powder. For that matter, less choices if you are looking for something much lighter or darker shades. I would say that this powder gives medium coverage. It’s a powder without shimmer but it’s not dry or chalky like other cheap powder matte that might have given you.

Packaging wise, it’s a plastic compact with a mirror on top and with a small puff sponge in it. With coverage up to a medium coverage. With the right level of application I would say it’s a medium coverage but not incredible staying power. I really like the finish to put on. The real strength of this product is the appearance on the skin and texture of this powder.

Let me know what you think of this product? I love to hear your comment in the section below.

Hope you find this interesting and helpful. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I broke my Essence matte powder last month! (clumsy, dropped it)
This is what it looks like (bottom of the post):
But not sure if I care enough to press it back or just use it as a loose powder, I don’t carry it around with me, so I might just leave it.

I’m intrigued by this NYC powder, seems like the finish would be something I’d like. Have you ever used the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural powder? It’s my favourite powder and it gives a nice radiance. I’m going to have to put this on my list of items to try eventually. Thanks for doing this review and bringing it to my attention!

    1. Thank you so much Stashy for your comment. It’s no fun to have a broken powder and ya, you can fix it or keeping it as a loose powder is a good idea. Nope, I haven’t tried he Mac Mineralized powder yet but will definitely check it out πŸ™‚
